A Whole New Day

Standard

Steps 15,917 (7.26 miles)

We left about 9am (very tired today) and headed down to 14th street to go mom the High Line. The high line is a park that was originally a train path. The original tracks can still be seen in the path way. I recommend it to anyone who comes because you get great views, some unique art, and a break from the crazy NYC streets.

The sad part of today is while on the high line it started to rain and in the fuss of getting my umbrella out I stumbled and dropped my phone. Now the screen is smashed, but it still works!!

We got pizza from my favorite pizza place Ny Pizza Suprima. Laura and I eat got cheese and Claire had pepperoni. It’s perfectly balanced and delicious!! If you want a good slice of NYC go here!!

After lunch we headed to the Macy’s department store to kill a bit of time. We looked at the old escalators, the thousands of items, and the fun New York souvenirs they have

It was Finally Aladdin time, so we headed to Time Square. I put on my graduation ears and took a picture next to the magic lamp. We got merchandise and Genie Lemonade, then took our seats. Laura was very kind and got me a CD and we are enjoying the music again right now!! This show was my graduation present and it was amazing!!! Disney in everyway! Flying carpets, fireworks, shiny costumes, amazing sets, and excellent perfomers! I could watch it all day! Thank You Amy from Breathtakingly Beautiful for convincing my parents it was worth the money!!! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!

After the incredible show we walked up to the New York Public Library and walked around there a bit. I always enjoy stopping by there and admiring the building. If you’re ever in Bryant Park or walking down 5th Ave I would suggest popping in. They have clean restrooms and an interesting Photography point of view and World War I exhibit right now.

We tried to walk up 5th Ave after visiting the library but we got poured on. Instead we hopped on the subway and headed up to 82nd and got Shake Shack. Laura and I both had Shack Burgers and Claire had a Smokey burger (has bacon) and we got crinkly fries. We got a Strawberry Cheesecake concrete and Upper West Slide custard (strawberry purée, bananas and blondie bits in vanilla custard). As always it was delicious!

We came back to the apartment afterward because it was pouring still. Now we are relaxing and jamming to the Aladdin sound track. Hopefully the weather cooperates tomorrow and we get to do everything we want! Talk to y’all later!
